Physical Therapist - NDT - 140k

Ft Worth, TX

We have an immediate need for a full-time physical therapist to work with a family and their 4 year old twins who were born prematurely at 24 weeks. This position is ideal for individuals with 5 years or more pediatric and neuro-developmental treatment (NDT) experience who are looking to truly see progress in the lives of two individual patients without the constant revolving door of seeing 20 to 30 patients in a week and never feeling like you are making as much of a difference as you could. During times when the therapist is not working for the family, he/she will work with a major pediatric hospital. Once therapy with the twins is no longer needed, the family will help facilitate a permanent position with either institution. The successful candidate will be offered a 2 - year commitment and full benefits.

The successful candidate will:

· Masters or Doctorate degree in physical therapy

· 5 years of pediatric experience

· Have had a 3.0 GPA or above

· Be flexible with scheduling

· Be willing to work for 2+ years with the family

· Be NDT certified or NDT trained

· Provide list of completed continuing education courses

· Be open to multidisciplinary therapeutic approaches

Preferred areas of specialty:

· Specializing in treating children with Neuromuscular disorders

· Any specialization or continuing education courses in gait patterns, gait analysis, and un-weighted gait training

· Physical therapy approaches for children with Ataxia

· Experience with Therasuit equipment (www.therasuit.com). Training will be provide
