Sr. Principal Regulatory Policy Coordinator

Reporting to the Global Director Regulatory Policy Influence, this individual will work to meet the challenges of an ever changing global regulatory environment, working with associations and industry organizations to influence regulations, identify issues, and leverage relationships to enhance corporate credibility and protect the Enterprise in the marketplace. This individual will develop proactive lobbying strategies, risk assessments and partnerships with Government/External Affairs, Affiliate leadership, and R & D staff to protect and expand product access within new and established markets. Additionally this role will partner with Corporate counterparts in Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, and other internal teams to ensure Regulatory Policies and strategies are aligned with business plans. This person will serve as the primary contact in leading scientific and technical support for trade associations, government agencies, and professional organizations..

The successful individual will leverage their proficiency to. . .
• Lead development of regulatory strategies with internal teams, and external government affairs to protect and expand our product access
• Build relationships and leverage technical or government contacts who will have business impact
• Drive regional or business line specific regulatory strategies for long term business success
• Plan and coordinate regional global regulatory activities with associations, government advisors, scientific partners, etc. who have influence on global product sales
• Develop and manage the strategy and budget for lobbying efforts, offering progress updates on goals, accomplishments, business risks, etc.

The accomplished individual will demonstrate progressive experiences in. . .
• Minimum ten years experience in a consumer products industry role, with exposures to global consumer product regulations, and/or quality/regulatory leadership
• Guiding strategy around complex business challenges in a global company
• Background in product development (preferably in nutrition, beauty, personal care, home care, etc.)
• Demonstrated leadership working with cross functional global teams
• Background working with government agencies and global trade organizations to influence regulatory policy
• International Food Law exposures

An outstanding professional will have the following credentials. . .
• Advanced degree in Chemistry, Toxicology or Food sciences related Discipline
