We have an immediate need for a licensed Director of Nursing (DON) to manage patient care for a established and growing home health therapy services provider.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for providing clinical direction and supervision of clinical staff to ensure the delivery of appropriate home health services
- Oversees the clinical coordination and delivery of home health care services including patient care plans
- Ensures compliance with established quality standards, and applicable state and federal regulations. Updates clinical policies as needed and communicates important changes to senior management
- Handle complaints and incident reports and resolve them in a professional manner
- Oversee intake process and qualifies referral acceptance
- Supervise case management and assures its compliance
- Performs patient admission, skilled evaluation and treatments to patients if warranted
- Responsible for selection, orientation, on-boarding, and retention, training and evaluation of nursing staff
- Assists in the development of office budget, provides daily operational resource management including staff, supplies, and equipment, and ensures optimal productivity for the department
- Perform other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
- At least 4 years total nursing experience
- At least 1 years supervisory experience; home health preferred
- Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Texas or compact state
- Demonstrable management and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
