We seek a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position with an established outpatient clinic. The successful candidate will provide speech therapy to elderly patients at the San Jose medical facility or in their homes.
Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will be responsible for executing effective treatment plans to restore, compensate, or adapt for loss of patient function, which will be established by a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), and planning and administering medically prescribed therapy treatments in accordance with federal, state, and professional standards.
Duties
Administer treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist
Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Handle scheduling of participants’ treatment, clinical visits, and billing
Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Participate in end-of-life care coordination
Job Requirements
2+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) experience with the elderly population
Graduate of an APTA-accredited school
Active state therapy license or eligible
BLS/CPR certification
