We seek a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position with an established outpatient clinic. The successful candidate will provide speech therapy to elderly patients at the San Jose medical facility or in their homes.  

Responsibilities 

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will be responsible for executing effective treatment plans to restore, compensate, or adapt for loss of patient function, which will be established by a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), and planning and administering medically prescribed therapy treatments in accordance with federal, state, and professional standards. 

Duties 

• Administer treatment programs as established by the Physical Therapist 

• Assist the Physical Therapist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing 

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care   

• Handle scheduling of participants’ treatment, clinical visits, and billing 

• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed  

• Participate in end-of-life care coordination 

Job Requirements 

• 2+ years of Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) experience with the elderly population 

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited school  

• Active state therapy license or eligible  

• BLS/CPR certification
