Patient Assessment Instrument Coordinator

Under general supervision of the Program Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation,  the PAI Care Coordinator is responsible for PPS/PAI data and transmitting that data to CMS.  This includes assisting all disciplines to maintain current educational requirements for  regulatory compliance.   In collaboration with the medical staff, patients, patient's family and other members of the health care team, the PAI Coordinator is responsible for utilizing a holistic and interdisciplinary approach to assist the team with the coordination of  the PAI function.  The PAI Coordinator may also provide direct care within their scope and practice and delegate/collaborate care with other disciplines and non-licensed staff as it relates to patient outcomes and care of the inpatient rehabilitation patient. PAI Coordinator may assist the Admissions Coordinator as necessary to increase efficiency of the unit.  The PAI Coordinator is responsible for providing care consistent with Medical Center of Lewisville's policies, procedures and standards of practice as it relates to their specific discipline.
 
Requirements:

Current Texas licensure/certification - BS minimum  in current field of study (nursing, physical therapy, or occupational therapy)
BCLS certification (AHA)
Pass facility credentialing  for Functional Independence Measurement (FIM's) within 3 attempts upon hire then maintain current certification
Achieve CRRN when eligible (Nursing).
Must have a minimum of 3 years recent clinical experience coordinating Prospective Payment System (PPS) and the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility-Patient Assessment Instrument (IRF-PAI) for inpatient rehabilitation. 
Must have well established leadership skills.
Must possess program development skills & have experience in infrastructure development.
